So now im perplexed, they had their money, they knew where I lived... so why didn't i get my item ? So I sent them this e-mail
"> Comments:I want to know what happened to this order ?
> My credit card was billed, Your website was updated saying that I
would receive the item within 2 to 6 days and it even had departure
and arrival dates. Then I receive an extremely non informative e-
mail saying my order was canceled. Now the order does not come up in
my order history. If you or a reseller was out of stock then your
site should have been updated to say out of stock ( It still says in
stock by the way).
> If you our your partner company was not able to provide the
product at the advertised price then it should not have been listed
at such a price. I will be contacting the better business Bureau as
well as my local consumer protection agency in order to find out
what recourse I have in this situation. There was in my mind no
reason to cancel my order, You were able to charge my card, you had
shipping information and gave me shipping estimates. This situation
is inexcusable and I will no longer be buying anything from
Amazon.com .

and there response ?
"Greetings from Amazon.com.
We can certainly understand that this was not what you expected when
you placed your order. We pride ourselves in being focused on
customers like you who make our company successful. I apologize that
your experience with this order has not been consistent with that
philosophy.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I have checked your order and found that the item "TRIPLEHEAD2GO -
Triple Analog " is no longer available with the merchant and was
cancelled from your order.
I apologize for any incovenience this may have caused.
We find that our third-party merchants work very hard to maintain
their inventories, but on rare occasions the availability of a
listed item will change by the time a purchase is placed online.
Rest assured that your credit card was not charged for this order.
However, in an effort to compensate a valuable customer, I like to
give you a $3.00 promotional certificate towards your Amazon.com
future order. I know that the offering of this credit does not
rectify the situation. However, this is the best I can do at this
point of time and hope you would provide us an opportunity to
restore your faith in Amazon.com. Please accept it as a goodwill
gesture and apology.
Please know that the balance of promotional certificate funds can't
be viewed in Your Account, but it will be visible during the order
process.
When you place your next qualifying order, on the payment section of
our online order form, you should see that any eligible promotional
funds have been automatically applied to your order. You don't need
to enter your claim code again, as it has already been redeemed.
Please note that promotional funds are subject to certain
restrictions which are posted on our web site:
http://www.amazon.com/o/tg
If you would like to read more about order changes, cancellations,
or refunds on third-party orders, you can find information in our
Help pages for future reference:

Please know that while an occasional stock-out is bound to happen,
we do require sellers to keep these to a minimum. If we find a
seller's out-of-stock sales becomes problematic, we will take
appropriate action.
I hope the above information is helpful.
I realize that you have been greatly inconvenienced by this
situation. We understand your feelings and don't blame you for
being upset.
We here at Amazon customer service continuously strive to assist the
customers in each and every way we can and feel disappointed when we
are unable to address customer's concerns. I hope you can understand
our limitations in this regard.
As a representative of Amazon.com, I want to assure you that we
value our customers' trust above all else--it's the foundation on
which our company was built. Please know that we'll continue
working hard to ensure that you receive accurate service, and to
minimize the chances of anything like this occurring again.
Again, we are very sorry for the inconvenience this error has
caused. We value your business and hope to serve you better in the
future.

An extremely long email that gives me an apology, and 3 bucks..... 3 bucks. For an undelivered 300 dollar item they respond with 3 bucks... Im sorry, this is sad. You said you had the item, You said it by first charging my card and them confirming that it would be shipped. Only to then turn around an cancel it with out explanation and with out consulting me first.
When I go back to the item guess what same amazon affiliate is selling it it now costs LESS and it it still in stock, a day after they canceled the first order because they were "out of stock".... what is going on over there ?
also, they did credit my account back with the 302 dollars they had taken earlier.
Here is the item,
And here are some pics
a picture of the confirmation e-mail i received
this is a pic of my recent orders... notice anything strange, yup, my most recent order was deleted from my recent orders, I can no longer find any reference to it
and here is the item at 4:15 on 8-3-07
